Getting Started with Vineyard of Faith Academy

Starting your homeschooling journey under an umbrella school in Florida does not have to feel overwhelming.

At Vineyard of Faith Academy, our goal is to make the process peaceful, simple, and encouraging for families. Though our school year runs August-July, you are welcome to enroll with our school at anytime. 

💛 Step 1: Join Vineyard of Faith Academy

Families begin by completing our enrollment process and submitting annual enrollment fees.

Once enrollment is complete:

• Your family becomes part of our private umbrella school

• We maintain required school records

• You receive support and guidance throughout the school year

• Annual Report Cards

• Access to our Private Parent Support Facebook Group

🌱 Step 2: Plan Your Homeschooling

Parents are the primary teachers.

This means:

• You choose curriculum

• You set your family’s schedule

• Learning takes place in the home and everyday life

Homeschooling allows flexibility for:

• family needs

• learning styles

• pacing

• faith-centered teaching

You are not expected to recreate public school at home.

📚 Step 3: Choose Curriculum

Families are free to choose curriculum that best fits their children.

Vineyard of Faith Academy offers:

• curriculum guidance

• book recommendations

• encouragement and support

• helpful homeschool resources

Our recommendations are never required. 

We understand every child and family is different.

We do request your curriculum list and will let you know if something does not meet the standards. 

📝 Step 4: Begin Your Homeschooling Journey & Keep Simple Records

Families maintain:

• attendance records (planner recommended)

• basic academic progress (like subject test & scores)

• samples of student work

Throughout the school year, families will submit:

• attendance

• simple progress reports

• a few work samples

Our reporting process is designed to help maintain required records while keeping homeschooling peaceful and manageable. 

All Students must have 180 educational days documented per school year.
